If you're interested in
using a mindmap maker then there are two things you need to know about mind
mapping. First, mind mapping is not so much a method as it is a tool. Second,
it's okay to use more than one mindmap maker in your article content.
The first thing you
need to understand is that mind maps are just a tool. They are not a technique
or strategy for creating good content. You cannot simply go out and get an
absolutely perfect mindmap because you will still have a lot of writing to do.
It's much like what happens when you try to do something "perfect"
with your photography. You still have a lot of work ahead of you'll still have
to make sure everything you've done so far looks right on the page.
You also want to make
sure that you do not "fill" your mind with information about a
particular subject. When people use mind maps they are just trying to
communicate ideas and thoughts and not provide their readers with a current
factoid. So, it's important that you avoid the temptation to use any kind of
filler material.
The second thing you
need to know about mind maps is that they can be used to create great content.
There are many different ways to create good content through mind mapping but
it all starts with you having the basics down and you are able to build off
that foundation.
You first have to be
able to establish the information. Without this the whole process gets much
more difficult and more frustrating for yourself and for your readers. To be
able to create the "foundation" of your content, you have to actually
know what the goals of your content are and where you are going with the piece.
You also need to be able to convey these things clearly to your readers.
For example, if you are
trying to create an introduction to your content you would probably use a mind
map maker to create a basic "on paper" introduction to your content.
Then you need to be able to continue the story by including your readers in
your story.
Once you've finished
the introduction, your mindmap should go on to a few paragraphs describing the
basics of your article or content piece. Next, you need to start linking your
audience to your links to further your story. Remember, you're trying to
provide some sort of "proposition" or a "case" for why your
piece is the best of the best so you want to get your reader involved with that
link.
Finally, when using a
good mindmap maker you also want to create a very clear plan for the next few
paragraphs. This is very important because you need to know where you are going
and what you want to accomplish. And in order to accomplish these goals you
need to write several paragraphs and you need to write them now.
